Contact Kate

Kate is a 2007 graduate of the Mount. The youngest of three children in her family, she hails from Union, Kentucky, where she attended St. Henry District High School. She is very interested in running and traveling. She loves being social. "As many people know, I can hardly walk from one end of campus to the other with out stopping someone to say hi." 

While a student at the Mount, Kate was a member of the Communication Studies Club and interned four semesters in MSJ Sports Information Department, and at the Anthony Munoz Foundation and Clear Channel Radio.  She also was involved with various clubs and was a Campus Ambassador.

"I was attracted to the Mount’s friendliness," Kate says. "When I was looking at colleges to attend, my mom really wanted me to check out the Mount, but I had my heart set on another small school a little further away. My mom suggested we just look at the Mount. So I visited and right away I knew I wanted to go there!  Immediately upon leaving I knew that I would love being a student (and now staff) at the Mount. It was really a nice feeling. It felt natural to be here. Everyone remembered my name!"

 Amy graduated from the Mount in 2006 with a degree in Communication Studies with a minor in English. While at the Mount, she worked in the Registrar's Office for four years and served as a copy editor for Dateline, the College newspaper, during her senior year. Shortly after graduation Amy began work as an admission counselor. She enjoys watching football and being physically active - running and playing sports.

"As a student, I was attracted to the Mount because of the small class size and personal attention from professors. Now as a counselor, I'm excited to share all that the Mount has to offer with the hope that others will want to experience it for themselves!"
